Refuge summary
This is a story about three refuges whose journeys links up in some way.
This story is a fiction but based on true events,the Nazi attacking , Fidel Castro and Syria attacks.
I think this is a great book to read, could you suggest other books that are like this one?
Over all I think this is a great book to read for some looking for a challenge,adventure,bravery and loss.
This book made me feel that refugees need to be noticed more, so people need to save refuges to help them live.
My class had a read aloud on this book, my teacher read it to us.
I would definitely read this book again because once you read you want to finish it.

This is a great post Jack, I like how you have added lots of detail about the book, and have included how it has made you feel about refugees. If you watch the news, you may see or hear things about the Syrian refugees, and how there are other refugees in the world that need sanctuary.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading the book aloud to you all, I really liked how all the stories connected. I have not read any other books like this, but like you, I am keen to read more about this topic.

I forgot to say, on your Biteable, perhaps you could mention why Isobel was leaving Cuba, what had Castro done that meant that Cubans wanted to leave?
