It sounds like there are some great ideas here Jack. I love the idea of a couple of gunslingers in the wild west, out riding for the love of another gunslinger. I think we just need to discuss making some of your ideas a little clearer. I'm unsure where Q the detective fits in. I feel like your audience will become attached with your character, not the gunfight as well, so we want more simple events that possible explain their back story and why they are in love with Annie. The final gun fight would be the entire climax. It won't take much writing to explain that bit.
